We're building something. Here's what week two looks like.
Post No. 2 — The slow part
There's a version of this where I tell you about all the things that got done this week. The social media handles that are now claimed and live. The documents that got built. The decisions that got made. And those things are real and they matter.
But that's not really what this week felt like from the inside.
This week felt like waiting. And I mean that in the best possible way.
There are things in motion right now that I can't talk about yet — not because I'm being coy, but because some things need to develop quietly before they're ready for the light. The dough isn't ready until it's proofed. You give it the space it needs and you trust that the timing will sort itself out. If the opening date needs to move, it moves. The date was never the point. The restaurant is the point.
What I'm learning — or maybe relearning — is that deliberateness has its own momentum. Every decision we're making right now is being made on purpose, without the kind of urgency that used to make me skip steps. That's new. That's different. And it's starting to feel like the most important thing about this whole endeavor.
Meanwhile, Revival is becoming real in the small ways. This week @RevivalPizzaPie exists on Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and X. Four platforms, four handles, all claimed. Instagram is being difficult — we'll get there. But seeing the name out there, attached to accounts that belong to us, is a particular kind of confirmation. It's not the room or the food or the music yet. But it's something.
The slow part is part of it.
More soon.
